NSW: Howard claims credit for NSW economic health

SYDNEY, Feb 24 AAP - Prime Minister John Howard today claimed credit for New South Wales'
healthy economy, saying spending on the Olympics was only a part of a national pattern.

Speaking at the launch of NSW coalition front bencher Michael Photios' campaign for the
March state poll, Mr Howard said he was delighted at the "evident air of prosperity" in
Sydney.

"Sure there's an Olympic Games element, but it is all part of a national pattern," Mr
